Congratulations to our Varsity Basketball team for their thrilling victory last night against C. E. Byrd High School in Shreveport, with a score of 71 to 67 in double overtime. Senior Tyler Lally led the Crusaders with 16 points, including a clutch 3-point basket with six seconds remaining in the first overtime. Javier Perez had 13 points, Tyler Epps had 12, Davonn Moore had 10, and Nick Turner added 9. Senior Jason Stant started and recorded his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
“I am very proud of how my boys battled. We beat a talented team in their gym, and we showed a ton of heart throughout the game. They represented our school very well,” said Coach Christopher Biehl.
The Crusaders will return to action in quarter final play against the St. Paul’s Wolves on Friday, March 2. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. at St.Paul’s. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students.
