Congratulations to the Crusader Baseball team for their 4 and 0 record in the WGNO Baseball Classic this past weekend. The Crusaders swept the weekend by defeating St. Paul’s on Thursday 9 – 0, North Gwinnett Georgia 2 – 1 on Friday, Fontainebleau 4 – 2, and Ponchatoula 12 – 2 on Saturday. Starting pitchers Blair Frederick, Kirk Prest, Lance Malter, and Keagan Gillies combined in giving up only one earned run in 21 innings. Frederick and Gillies combined to strike out 22 batters in ten innings. Offensively, the Crusaders were led by Kevin Stretzinger, Michael Kirsch, Mason Bonnaffons, Jarod Tassin, and Joel Bergeron who drove in a combined 19 runs in the four games.
