During the Easter holiday, the Crusader Band traveled to Orlando, FL to bring some ‘Crusader musical magic’ to Walt Disney World. The Crusader Band participated in Disney’s 2017 “Festival of Fantasy” Pre-Parade. This daily parade was held in the Magic Kingdom and featured giant floats and various Disney characters. Under the direction of Mr. Dominick Caronna ’85 and Mr. Chris Bailey ‘86, the Crusaders showcased their new uniforms and musical talents to park visitors. A musical highlight was “Do Whatcha Wanna,” the familiar New Orleans brass band song! Visitors from all over the World danced and celebrated with the Crusader Band all the way down Disney’s Main Street U.S.A.!
Don’t forget to catch the Symphonic Band, Novice Band, and Concert Band at their annual spring concert on Wednesday, April 26 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center (6400 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70003)!
