Cross Country Takes Second in District Race

IMG_6051Thursday, October 30th marked the day of the District 9-5A Cross Country Championship or the “Catholic League Championship”. Brother Martin finished second overall with 46 points just nine points behind Jesuit (1st place – 36 points).  The Brother Martin pack paced themselves well off the starting line taking the top two spots with the rest of the pack close behind.  After the two mile mark, the Brother Martin runners started losing ground on the rest of the pack as they made their way to the finish line.

The JH/JV team will compete in the Cross Country Metro Championships on Saturday, November 1st at 8 am in City Park.  The Varsity squad will race again in the NOLA Metro Championship on Saturday, November 8th at 11 am in City Park.
