Cross Country Keeps on Running…

copy-of-img_1422The varsity cross country team finished in 2nd place against a field of 33 teams Saturday at Highland Park in Baton Rouge at the Episcopal High School Roundtable Invitational. Hayden Courregé ’18 and Hunter Appleton ’19 led the Crusaders with a 2nd and 3rd place finish, respectively. Benjamin Crowley ’18 and Tyler Epps ’18 finished in the Top 20 to solidify the runner-up position for the team. St. Paul’s High School outpaced the Crusaders, winning 59-78. Ethan Meydrich ’18 and Cade Litolff ’19 finished in 1st and 2nd place in the Open Division.

The junior high opened its season in City Park at the Mount Carmel Invitational with a 2nd place finish, led by Abram Bernstein ’20, Ethan Dupas ’20, Ali Cavdar ’21, Laden Batsen ’21, and Bryce Davey ’21. The junior varsity took the victory with Sam Martinez ’17 winning the race, and Julien Cook ’19 and Jackson Anuszkiewicz ’19 finishing in the Top 10.  fullsizerender

The varsity and members of the junior high will travel to Money Hill Plantation in Abita Springs to compete in St. Paul’s Christian Brothers Invitational on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Members of the junior varsity and junior high will compete in City Park again at the Rummel/Chapelle Invitational Saturday, September 17, 2016.
