Cross Country Competes in the Mobile Challenge of Champions

IMG_4875The varsity cross country team traveled to Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, September 3, 2016 to compete in the Mobile Challenge of Champions. The Crusaders finished as runners-up in a close battle, falling to Baker (AL) with a score of 28-32. Hunter Appleton ’19, Hayden Courregé ’18, Benjamin Crowley ’18, and Tyler Epps ’18 led the Crusaders by finishing inside the Top 10 overall runners. Myles Ceravolo ’17, Michael Champagne ’19, and Reid Kern ’17 rounded out the Crusader Top 7 with Top 25 finishes.

In the Open Division, the Crusaders won in dominant fashion, outpacing runner-up St. Thomas More (LA) with a score 64-114. Marco Perez ’18 led the Crusaders by finishing 2nd overall in a field of 275 competitors. The Crusaders return to action this weekend as the varsity travels to the Episcopal Roundtable Invitational at Highland  Park.
