The cross country program continued its winning ways into the post season by clinching the Catholic League District Championship on Tuesday, October 25 in City Park. Hayden Courregé ’18 and Hunter Appleton ’19 took control of the race early, working together over the three mile course to finish in first and second, respectively. Courregé clocked the winning time of 15:21, the second fastest time run on the City Park course by any competitor this season. Benjamin Crowley ’18 ran a calculated, tactical race to finish sixth overall, earning All-District honors along with Courregé and Appleton. Reid Kern ’17, Marco Perez ’18, Tyler Epps ’18, and Cade Litolff ’19 ran as a pack, all finishing in the Top 15 overall and within five seconds of each other to solidify the victory for the Crusaders.

The varsity looks to extend its winning streak at the Region III-5A Championships next Friday, November 4 in City Park. Race time is set at 4:45 p.m. The junior high and junior varsity competes this Saturday in the Junior High/Junior Varsity Metro Championships in City Park beginning at 8 a.m.
