The Crimson & Gold Network hosted an “Oil & Energy” Roundtable on Monday, December 15th in The Terrace. Engineers, industry suppliers and consultants and one engineering student met to discuss the many facets of the oil and energy industry. Jeff Teague ’91, VP at GNO Inc., explained how they are working to lure industry personnel to the area as well as create a quality local pool of candidates. Brian DeJean ’01, manager at Keystone Engineering, discussed the changing demographics in the field of engineering. Thomas D’Gerolamo ’12, a junior at LSU majoring in Engineering, sought advice and opportunities for future employment. This initial meeting was a success and the group plans to meet again in February.
