Crescent City Sports to Live Stream Brother Martin-Shaw Basketball Game on February 9

NEW ORLEANS – As the basketball regular season begins to wind down, Crescent City Sports will live stream a pair of key matchups this week.

The girls take the spotlight Monday at 6 p.m. when Mount Carmel and Ponchatoula face off in a non-district matchup of a pair of possible No. 1 seeds, while District 9-5A leader Brother Martin takes on Archbishop Shaw in a boys matchup Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Coverage begins just prior to tipoff each night. CCS’ Ken Trahan and Bill Gallagher '71 will describe the action.

Mount Carmel (21-4) and Ponchatoula (24-0) are ranked No. 1 in the unofficial LHSAA power ratings in Division I and Class 5A, respectively.

The Cubs defeated the Lady Wave 40-37 last season in New Orleans, but this time, Mount Carmel will make the trip to Tangipahoa Parish.

Brother Martin (17-6), after six COVID-19-related postponements last month, has started Catholic League play with five consecutive wins, including three in 48 hours last week.

Shaw (14-5) gets a second shot in four days at the Crusaders, but this time at home. Brother Martin won the first matchup 56-51 Saturday night in Gentilly.

The Crescent City Sports team is in its 10th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced broadcasts of more than 300 live games since 2012, and is continuing its extensive commitment to prep sports coverage on its website for 2020-21. Additionally, in cooperation with Cox Sports Television, CCS will also produce additional events that will both be televised on CST and streamed on the site.
