Creating a Domino Effect

IMG_4495In physical science classes, Mr. Justin Franks and his ninth grade students participated in the Rube Goldberg experiments. The object of the assignment was to build various machines which required a number of complicated steps to complete a simple task. In fact, some experiments even used a domino effect! Students had to include at least four steps in their task by using at least three of the six simple machines. They needed the following Items to complete the assignment: pulleys, levers, screw, wheel and axle, inclined plane, and a wedge. Crusaders used their knowledge of the lesson to get a basketball into the goal, a balloon to pop or event have an egg drop on a skillet.
