Eighth grade Cubs from Mt. Carmel Academy and Crusaders from Brother Martin gathered on Elysian Fields Avenue recently for the annual “Crazy Eights” activity. The student councils at both schools organized the event, whose goal is to create class unity and to provide a safe and healthy way for the boys and girls to meet and interact. After a series of ice breakers in the Conlin Gymnasium, students broke up into groups for “crazy” competitions in the classrooms and resource centers: charades, ninja, pop music trivia, and musical chairs, just to name a few. The evening ended with a dance and with door prize give-a-ways. Thanks to all the young Cubs and Crusaders who attended.
