Cole Frazier '11 Honored by National Football Foundation

Cole FrazierCole Frazier ’11 has been named the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete of the Day on March 25th. Frazier is a member of the Nicholls State defensive line and will graduate in May with a 3.37 GPA and a degree in Business Administration.  Cole plans to attend law school after graduation. Some of Cole’s other achievements include:

  • Three-time Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll member
  • 2014 & 2013 Southland Conference All-Academic Team member
  • Three-time President’s List and two-time Dean’s List honoree

Cole is also active in the community where he volunteers with TKOC – Triumph Over Kid Cancer, participates in various community service efforts with football team, is a member of Student Athlete Advisory Council, an active member in greek life philanthropy, and a student tutor.  Congratulations, Cole!

Each NFF Scholar-Athlete of the Day is selected from the list of candidates for the 2014 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards, presented by Fidelity Investments which also made up the list of semifinalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy, also presented by Fidelity. The 25th Campbell Trophy was awarded to Duke linebacker David Helton at the 57th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 9, 2014. Nominated by their school as the absolute best all-around scholar-athlete on their team, 169 candidates met the high standards needed for consideration this year. As part of its effort to highlight the best of the gridiron, the NFF separately highlights each of these 169 candidates on its website. These outstanding individuals must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of eligibility, have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, have outstanding football ability as a first team player or significant contributor, and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.
