This year, the Crusader Class of 2022 began their high school career with Summer Enrichment, followed by orientation, and many more school-wide events which introduced them to a new chapter in their lives at Brother Martin High School. Last week, they finished their first quarter exams and are now experiencing the spirit of Homecoming Week 2017 by participating in t-shirt days, pep rallies, costume contests, and special lunches along with the rest of the student body.
On Tuesday of Homecoming Week, Crusaders welcomed special guests, Alumni Dads, who joined them for lunch in the Tom and Gayle Benson Mall. The Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association hosted the lunch. Director of Alumni Scott Corrente ’83 welcomed Alumni Dads and their son(s) along with Director of Development Kenny Spellman ’84, Executive Vice President Greg Rando ‘77, and faculty/staff.
This luncheon offered alumni and their son(s) the opportunity to spend time together and to enjoy each other’s company in a true ‘Crusader Spirit’. They also had the opportunity to eat a filling lunch prepared by Food Services, or perhaps they indulged in those delicious Tastee Donut’s Kastle Burgers while reminiscing about their days as students with their son(s) and their classmates.
Alumni Dad Aaron Winstein ’90 attended the lunch with his son, Daniel ‘22. He stated that “it is really a great opportunity that Brother Martin High School allows Alumni to come back to campus and have lunch with their son(s). It continues the Brother Martin tradition of promoting family and unity.” Winstein is also the father of a junior, Andrew.
We look forward to seeing our Alumni Dads at Brother Martin. Thank you to all our volunteers, Alumni Dads, and faculty/staff that assisted at the lunch!
