While the seniors were off campus this Monday, November 13, the Class of 2022 welcomed special guests to Brother Martin for Grandparents Day. Members of the Class of 2020 treated their grandparent(s) to lunch in the Benson Mall during their Unstructured Period. Their grandparent(s) have always enjoyed this great tradition, and today they look forward to being together with their grandson(s). The grandparents were also treated to a delicious lunch and/or coffee and dessert which was prepared by Food Services. Peggy and Jeff Wooton commented that “as grandparents we learn to cherish every moment we can spend with our grandchildren. Brother Martin Grandparents Day is one of those moments! Seeing our grandson, Tyler Elmer ’20, in this wonderful school environment is priceless. Every year we look forward to this day.” The Wootons are always ready to put their ‘Crimson & Gold’ hats on for their grandson and to cheer on the Crusaders events.
Mr. Francis Exposito, grandfather of Jonathan Exposito ’20, was also excited to be on campus. A graduate of St. Francis de Sales in Houma, he was educated by many of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. His son, Edward Exposito, was a graduate of Brother Martin in 1985. He reminisced about his experiences with Brother Martin as both a father and a grandfather.
We enjoyed hosting a great lunch, and we look forward to seeing our Class of 2020 grandparents again.
The next Grandparents Days will be December 4 for juniors and December 11 for the seniors.
