Class of 1976 “50 for 50” Check Presentation

Members of the Class of 1976 gathered for lunch in The Benson Mall in May to kick off their 50-Year Reunion celebration. After lunch, members of the class presented their “50 for 50” check to Brother Martin High School. The class elected to do something special for their “50 for 50” gift, raising $96,000 over the 5-year period and endowing their second class scholarship, the Brother Martin Class of 1976 Scholarship II.  The scholarship will provide need-based financial assistance to a qualified student in good standing. Mark Zimmer ’76 led the campaign and thanked his classmates for raising over $170,000 in the last 53 months, endowing Brother Martin Class of 1976 Scholarships I and II. The Damiens Family Foundation (Marcel J Damiens ’41 SA, Mark Damiens ’80, and Tab Damiens ’76) played a significant role in the campaign.  Terry Adams ’76, Jimmy Burke ’76, Tab Damiens ’76, Scott Farr ’76, John Foley ’76, Paul Huerkamp ’76, Tony Melito ’76, David Pecot ’76, Kelvin Rousseve ’76, Mark Schindler ’76, Kelly Vince ’76, and Mark Zimmer ’76 attended the ceremony.
