During this holiday season, we give thanks for our students, families, and alumni for all their support and spirit they give to their alma mater. In gratitude, alumni dads of the Class of 2019 were welcomed back on campus for an annual lunch with their son(s). On Monday, November 27, Director of Alumni Scott Corrente ’83 along with the 11th grade Crusaders, whose fathers are members of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association, attended Alumni Dad Lunch in the Tom and Gayle Benson Mall.
Cary Boquet ’87 said, “it was very nice to spend time with my son, Patrick, at a great school that I also attended in the ’80s.” He also commented that, “it was great talking with other alumni while seeing old friends and teachers. The atmosphere was great!” Many aspects of the school have changed since these Dads walked the halls so it is always a pleasure welcoming back alumni onto campus to spend quality time over lunch. Dads were brought up to date on school, alumni activities and events going on around campus.
Our students, faculty and staff look forward to seeing our alumni dads at Brother Martin for upcoming school and alumni events. Alumnus and Dad Kevin Mulligan ’91 enjoyed, “getting to spend time with my son and watching him converse with his teachers and classmates.” A special thank you to all of our volunteers, alumni dads, and faculty/ staff who assisted at the luncheon on Wednesday. Even Kevin’s son, Blake, said “it was very nice to have lunch with my Dad and talk with him during the day while I was in school.”
