Chorus Members Welcome Southern Chorale to Campus

IMG_4087Members of the Brother Martin Chorus were treated to a performance by the Southern Chorale from the University of Southern Mississippi. The performance was held in the Bro. Mark Thornton Terrace.  Under the direction of Dr. Gregory Fuller, the Chorale performed a variety of music, including American composer Eric Whitacre’s “Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine” and “Circle of Life” from The Lion King. Following the performance, Crusaders spent time conversing with the members of Southern Chorale on music and various topics!

The Southern Chorale, premier choral ensemble at The University of Southern Mississippi, has a long history of excellence.  It is comprised primarily of upper-division voice majors and graduate students studying conducting, vocal performance, and music education, but does include outstanding singers from other campus disciplines.  The group has appeared numerous times at ACDA conferences, including national conventions in Chicago and Los Angeles.  The ensemble maintains an active tour schedule both nationally and internationally.

Thank you to the Southern Chorale for their wonderful performance!
