Before Hurricane Isaac, the Chemistry Honors class met to conduct an experiment on bending glass. On Wednesday, September 12th, the class members returned to the lab to do the second part of their glass bending lab. They set out to determine if their glass bends would work properly to deliver gas to a test tube. Students dissolved alka seltzer in water and tried to deliver the gas product to a test tube.
