The 2017-2018 Brother Martin cheerleading team participated in a three- day Universal Cheerleader Association Master’s Camp at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Their days at camp consisted of learning new skills, difficult stunts, and a few new pyramids – all great experience for this thirty two member team (including the eight new guy cheerleaders and the four new girl cheerleaders). The team won the coveted “Leadership Award “, an award whose recipient is chosen by the other teams at camp. They were also honored with the “Most Collegiate” award which was chosen by the UCA Staff. Coach Jessica Fresina is looking forward to a great year with this young team, and there is no doubt that they are ready for the 2017 Crusader football season to begin!
