Cheerleaders Place 4th in National Competition

DSC01508Congratulations to the Brother Martin Cheerleaders for their fourth place finish at the UCA National Cheer Competition in Disney World over the Mardi Gras holiday.  The Crusaders performed a great routine and represented Brother Martin well in the extremely competitive Large Co-Ed Division.  This division is, by far, the most talented and collegiate to compete at Nationals.  Under the leadership of head coach Jessica Fresina and assistant coach Wesley Smith ’12, the Crusaders were up against teams of Co-Ed schools from around the nation that have the ability to practice daily as part of their curriculum.  Coach Fresina was able to overcome some of the “manpower” issues with choreography that contained some intense elites and pyramid stunts.  The dedication of this team was shadowed only by their perseverance!

Great job, Crusaders!!
