Members of the NJROTC unit assisted in the annual Crimestoppers fundraiser and auction at Mardi Gras World. Cadets showed up early to help set up for the event in the morning. In the evening they helped local restaurants serve food donated for the event to help raise money for the community organization. Later in the evening, Cadets assisted with the auction by modeling the items and pointing out the bids. The members who participated enjoyed free food and entertainment while earning several service hours for both the unit and for the school. After the auction the Cadets helped close the night by cleaning up and helping move larger items. The organizers said they are grateful every year for the help from the Brother Martin NJROTC. The Unit was thanked in the local paper. While the evening was a good time for all, the ability to assist Crimestoppers help make our community safer was the biggest payoff of the night.
