On Wednesday, December 10th, members of the Brother Martin Chorus presented their 2025 Christmas concert at St. Martin de Porres Church. Singers from the fifth period Chorus performed “Hey, Ho, Nobody Home” by Thomas Ravenscroft, “Swing Low/O When the Saints/I Wanna Sing,” and concluded with “Joy to the World.”
The sixth-period Chorus members began their section of the program with “Gaudete,” a carol from the 16th century. Other selections included Randall Thompson’s “Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening,” “Carol of the Bells,” Susan LaBarr’s “The River,” “Soon Ah Will Be Done,” and “Silent Night.” Roman Patton was featured as the soloist in “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!”
Alumni of the Chorus program performed contemporary composer Eric Whitacre’s “Glow,” which was originally composed for the World of Color – Winter Dreams show at Disneyland, and “We Need a Little Christmas” from Mame. The combined choirs concluded the concert with “O Sacred Heart.”
Thanks to all who were in attendance, and Merry Christmas!
