The Brother Martin Wrestling Team finished third in the Division I LHSAA State Championships this weekend.
Congratulations are in order:

To sophomore Richie Clementi for earning his 2nd State Championship. He, too, was very dominating, having 4 pins and a 14-2 major. He pinned his opponent in the finals in 1:11. His final match of the tournament also earned him his 100th career win.
To sophomore Rory Horvath who rose to the occasion and capped off his incredible season with a State Runner-Up finish at 160#.
To sophomore Ethan Simmons who seeded 3rd and advanced to the state championship match. Ethan was nearly 90# lighter than his opponent and is a first year varsity wrestler.
To freshman Anthony Oubre who showed his true character by coming back strong on the backside with 2 pins to finish 3rd after a heartbreaking overtime semifinals loss.
To sophomore Trey Trainor who earned a 5th-place finish, avenging the loss to the opponent who sent him to the backside.
To senior Ty Duncan who earned a 4th place podium finish. He too is a 2x placer.
To senior and captain Sam Riles who is also a 2x placer and finished 6th at 170.
