Brother Martin Weather/Campus Update 1/23/25

January 23rd, 2025:

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Brother Martin High School will remain closed on Friday, January 24. Tomorrow will once again be a virtual, asynchronous day of instruction. While we would prefer to return to campus and our routines, we do not want to risk putting anyone in our school community in harm’s way while traveling to school. Based on information from Orleans Parish officials, the snow that is melting this afternoon may still create hazardous driving conditions into Friday morning. As of this email, most of Interstates 10 and 610 remain closed and we anticipate that I 610 will remain closed for most of the day Friday.

Your son’s teachers will post class assignments on Education Management by 8:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24. Questions about his assignments should be directed to his individual teachers.

School administration is currently working to determine if any adjustments to the school calendar are necessary. Once we have made that determination, we will communicate any changes to you as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Administration. We pray for the safety and protection of all of those in our school community during this severe weather event.
