Brother Martin Represented at National Council of Geography Educators

Faculty members Amy Peavey and Thomas Mavor represented Brother Martin High School at the fall National Council of Geography Educators national conference in Columbia, South Carolina. There, they presented "From Text to Terrain: Using Anchor Texts to Guide Field Experiences" regarding their interdisciplinary unit linked to coastal erosion problems and solutions as described in Mike Tidwell's Bayou Farewell. The English I Honors and World Geography Honors classes engage in reading, research, field experiences, and presentations all related to efforts to help prevent future land loss in southeastern Louisiana.
