Brother Martin Offers College-Credit History Courses with LSU

DSC03101_4276Dr. Aaron Sheehan-Dean, the Fred C. Frey Chair of Southern Studies and history professor at Louisiana State University, visited with our junior Honors and Advanced Placement U.S. History classes last week as part of our participation in LSU’s dual enrollment program.

Through LSU’s College Readiness program, our students are able to enroll and earn college credit courses. Currently, Brother Martin High School is the only school in the New Orleans area to offer dual enrollment history classes through LSU.  Sheehan-Dean works closely with history teacher Christopher Vicknair to offer a college-level history course on the Elysian Fields campus.
