Every year around Mardi Gras, Brother Martin's varsity lacrosse team travels out of state to play against various teams. This school year, the team traveled to Memphis, TN and Birmingham, AL to play and serve the community. As a team service project, they sought donations for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
On Thursday, March 7, the lacrosse team, coaches and parents, delivered the collection of donations to St. Jude for patients and their family members. The group was able to tour the facility and learn about the history, success, and future of the hospital as well as the impact and importance of the research done at the hospital. Through this experience, the young men of the Brother Martin lacrosse team were taught an invaluable lesson about the importance of giving back to those in need.
