The Brother Martin High School President’s Dinner returned to Commander’s Palace after a two-year hiatus. The 14th annual dinner was graced with beautiful weather as the evening began with cocktails, hors-d’oeuvres, and music provided by a Jazz Trio on the patio.
Once in the Patio Room, Committee member Ben Gootee ’01 opened the evening with a prayer, and President’s Dinner Committee Chairman P. Lindsey Williams ’83 welcomed everyone and provided an update on the President’s Dinner Scholarship Fund. Lindsey thanked the Gootee Family for their generosity and noted that they have recently endowed the Ambrose P. Gootee Scholarship. Brother Martin President Greg Rando ’77 thanked the committee and recognized special guests including Provincial Bro. Ronald Hingle ’78, Executive Director of Schools John Devlin and his wife Dr. Jan Lancaster, 2022 Bro. More Schaefer Award recipient Mark Bonis and his wife Rebecca, 2021 Alumnus of the Year Larry Gibbs ’65 CJ and his wife Marian, 2022 Alumnus of the Year Dr. Kraig de Lanzac ’86 and his wife Rhen, and Greg’s wife Bonnie. After Mr. Rando shared encouraging news on facilities and fundraising, Principal Ryan Gallagher ’00 updated guests on the many successes that our students and school are celebrating. Guests then enjoyed a delicious four-course meal while sharing the rich camaraderie of the Brother Martin community.
