Congratulations to the Crusaders for winning their second consecutive Louisiana Classic title this past weekend at Baton Rouge Community College. The wrestling team scored 287 defending their title in the Louisiana Classic by 104 points over 2nd place St. Paul’s. The team placed 13 of 14 in the top six in each weight class.
Leading the way for the Crusaders was Steven Shields who finished as the tournament champion. Finishing as runner ups were Luke Cotton, Stephen Rumney, Taylor Gambill and Travis Viener. Third place finishers were Daniel Varnado, Pierce Williams and Jacob Clapp. Remaining place finishers were Seth Gambill (4th place), Cal Palermo (5th place), Kevin Casey (5th place), Brad Guidry (4th place) and Nathaniel Perdue (6th place).
The Crusaders will take on Jesuit on Wednesday, January 20th at 6:30 p.m. at Brother Martin. Come show your support for the Crusader Wrestling program!
