On Saturday, October 28th, the Louisiana High School Coaches Association hosted a Tennis All-Star event at the LSU Tennis Complex in Baton Rouge. The top 8 UTR-rated boys and girls from the state competed in singles and doubles at the event.
Mitchell Armbruster of Brother Martin High School won the Boys' Singles Championship at this inaugural event by defeating a finalist from Acadiana Renaissance Charter High School. On his way to the championship, Mitchell also defeated players from St. Thomas More and St. Louis Catholic High School.
The doubles team of Max Edwards and Reed MacAlester advanced in the Consolation Draw to win the Boys' Doubles Consolation. At the tournament, the pair defeated a team representing Catholic High School and Woodlawn High School as well as a team from St. Louis Catholic High School.
