Tuesday night, the Crusaders faced off against the Bonnabel Bruins in the Conlin Gym. The Crusaders were slow out of the gate, but relied on good play from guard Jalen Gray, who had 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Gray was 5-of-6 in the paint and 2-of-5 from three-point range. Coming out of the half, Brother Martin started playing with tighter defensive pressure and went on a 12-4 run. Brother Martin won the second half which led to them winning the game 61-45. Leading the charge for the Crusaders was Jalen Gray with 22 points and Jordan Lumpkins who 6-of-9 for 14 points and pulled in 7 rebounds.
The 13-1 Crusaders will play undefeated L.W. Higgins in the opening round of the Chalmette High Tournament Thursday night at 6:00 pm. Come out and cheer on your Crusaders!
