Brother Martin Chorus Receives Superior Ratings at LMEA District Large Ensemble Assessment

On Wednesday, the Brother Martin Chorus participated in the LMEA District Large Ensemble Assessment at the University of New Orleans. The chorus received straight superior ratings in concert performance and an excellent rating in sight reading. Their concert performance was evaluated in each of the following categories: tone, intonation, technique, balance, and musicianship. The group received superior ratings in all categories from all three judges for their concert performance. The group was recognized for its maturity of sound, tone production, and musicality, and Roman Patton received special recognition from the judges for his solo in “Tshotsholoza.”
