On Thursday, the Brother Martin Chorus presented its annual spring concert at St. Catherine of Siena Church, in Metairie. The concert featured members of the 5th and 6th period Chorus classes as well as alumni who returned to sing with the Alumni Chorus.

The concert opened with members of the 5th period Chorus singing "Come Travel With Me," which is based upon Walt Whitman's "Song of the Open Road," "Red River Valley," and "Welcome Here," a collection of Shaker songs.

The 6th period Chorus members sang a diverse program of music spanning the mid-16th century through the 21st century. Audience favorites included "Invictus," based upon a poem by William Ernest Henley, and "Cover Me With The Night" by contemporary American composer Andrea Ramsey.

Members of the Alumni Chorus sang "Down Among the Dead Men" and "We Rise Again," featuring alumni soloists Tommy Thibodeaux '07 and Hunter Dunn '19.

The combined groups performed "Vive l'amour," a song of brotherhood, and ended the concert with the traditional "O Sacred Heart."
