"Brother Martin made an early statement Tuesday in riding the gritty pitching of sophomores Cole Navarro and Patrick Laiche to a 2-1 District 9-5A victory against Rummel at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
Navarro (3-1) pitched six innings, scattering six hits while striking out four, walking two and allowing one earned run.
