Congratulations to the Brother Martin Baseball Team for defeating St. Augustine 8-0 yesterday evening to claim the 2025 District Championship.

"Brother Martin won the Catholic League baseball championship for the second time in the past three seasons when the Crusaders defeated St. Augustine 8-0 on Tuesday at Wesley Barrow Stadium.

That win, combined with Rummel’s 4-2 loss to Holy Cross, gave Brother Martin a three-game lead in the district standings with two games remaining.

Reece Roussel homered, Ryan Darrah reached base four times (three hits, one walk), drove in two runs and scored three times, and right-hander Blaise Tingstrom retired the first 14 batters until he allowed a single in the fifth inning.

By then, the Crusaders had built a comfortable lead as it tried to complete a two-game series sweep of St. Aug following Friday’s 14-6 victory in the first game."
