Five Brother Martin Crusader Bandsmen were honored to perform at the 2025 Louisiana Music Education Association (LMEA) Conference. All-State ensembles from small string to full orchestras, guitar groups to full choirs, and concert bands to wind ensembles performed at the conference.
Middle school level All-Staters Robert Stierwald '29 and Caden Meyers '29 as well as high school level All-Staters Alex Ng '27, Michael Chalona '27, and Andrew Cooper '25 represented the Crusader band at the conference.
Middle School All-Staters:
Robert Stierwald (Concert Band)
Caden Meyers (String Orchestra)
High School All-Staters:
Alex Ng (Orchestra)
Michael Chalona (Orchestra)
Andrew Cooper (Concert Band)
Brother Martin Band Director, Mr. Dominick Caronna, Jr. '85, reflected on the experience: "All of these students spent many hours in long rehearsals preparing for their concerts. They performed with the best musicians in the state, learned much from the clinicians on hand, and were exposed to modern methods of performance, including "Breathing Gym," methods of string tuning and collaboration, and they experienced valuable interactions with well-known composers of the very music they played. They also attended concerts featuring amazing college bands. It was a wonderful experience to be remembered for a lifetime."
Congratulations to each of these Crusaders for their hard work and excellent musicianship!
