Brother Martin Awarded Jazz & Heritage Foundation Grant

Jazz & Heritage Foundation Grant Ceremony 2015

Band Director Dominick Caronna ’85

Crusader Band Director, Dominick Caronna ’85, accepts  an award for the Brother Martin High School Band that was chosen as a recipient of a Jazz & Heritage Foundation Grant in the amount of $4,000. More than 200 schools, organizations, and non-profits applied for grants during the summer. Due to the generosity of the Jazz & Heritage Board of Directors and donations from across the state more than $600,000 was given back to organizations like Brother Martin High School.

The Brother Martin Band Program will use the grant to purchase computers that enable students to work on projects with Finale Notation Software, utilize the online practice tool SmartMusic, and purchase and repair band instruments.

We would like to thank the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation for bestowing this Grant on the Band Program.
