Brother Martin Alumni Cook Up the Competition at Our 2021 Crusader Cook-Off

The Crusader Cook-off & Homebrew Competition returned on Sunday, October 24th as alumni, family, and friends enjoyed delicious food and drinks in the backyard and the Terrace. Patrons were treated to 18 dishes and 8 homebrews prepared by competitors. The Crusader Cooking team prepared and served chicken, coleslaw, baked macaroni, hot dogs, sausage, and fries. Laine Buquoi and Melissa Gallagher coordinated desserts. The Class of 2001 sponsored and served in the Beverage Tent featuring Coca-Cola products and an impressive selection of beers. Eddie Gonzales ’77 emceed the event and Team Serious About Cooking served as a DJ. Guest judges, a video game theater for the kids, and the inaugural Crusader Cornhole Tournament all added to the fun. The Laketilly Marinators & Hydrators Team #1, featuring Rob LaFleur ’92, Bob Vorhoff ’82, Ricky Schaefer ’87, and Danny Fulham ’93 took home first place with their Taco Pain Perdu.
