The LSU Eunice baseball team saw sophomore Casey Rodrigue ’11 steal four bases on Saturday night, with his swipe of second base in the eighth inning breaking the Bengals’ program record for most stolen bases in a single season, as the Bengals held on for a 5-4 victory in over Panola College in the second game of their series.
Rodrigue’s record-breaking stolen base, No. 59 on the season, was surpassed moments later when he swiped third base, then tagged and scored on a sacrifice fly in what turned out to be the difference in the game.
