Brother Martin Aerospace Science Program Takes Flight

We are blessed to be able to provide Brother Martin students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of professional Unmanned Aircraft System operators in our new Aerospace Science course (powered by our NJROTC). This one-semester class teaches students the requirements for earning their FAA Commercial sUAS certification along with advanced safety training and certification through the Unmanned Safety Institute. Students learn about aerodynamics, aviation weather, flight rules, and crew management skills to operate professionally. They then practice on professional quality drones provided by a generous grant from Cleco Power, Entergy, and Southwestern Electric Power Company.

We would like to thank Commander Bruce Nolan '90 and Senior Chief Petty Officer Romico Barnes for setting up our Crusaders for future success with this wonderful program.
