In a win-or-go home match, the Crusader bowling team rose to the challenge by defeating Holy Cross to stay alive in the race for the state title. After dropping a close match to #1 ranked Rummel 17-10, the Crusaders were set to face Holy Cross. The Crusaders took game one 5-3 before Holy Cross won game two 6-2. The match came down to the final game and total pins count. The Tigers won 4-of-6 matches in game three, but the Crusaders won the total pins count. This allowed Brother Martin to collect the important five bonus points to claim a one-point win of 14-13.
Michael Calcagno led Brother Martin with a 625 series.
With the win, the Crusader bowlers advance to the Bi-Regional Round of the State Playoffs. The next match will be at 1:00 pm on April 4th at All Star Lanes in Baton Rouge.
