Alumni gathered for the annual Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association’s 2017 Seafood Dinner in the Benson Mall. The Transportation Revolution New Orleans, Stephen Materne ’73, Zachary Materne ’01 and Maxwell Materne ’06, proudly served as main sponsor of the dinner. Attendees enjoyed crawfish prepared by Johnny’s Seafood and Johnny Randazzo ’96, fried seafood prepared and served by Brother Martin Food Services and Mrs. Tina Labeaud, and beverages. Members of the Alumni Board of Directors along with Billy Thiele ’78, Mike Broussard ’69 SA, David Schmidt ’76, Barry Hebert ’74 and Gene Ferniz ’71 served and coordinated the raffle and a 50/50 throughout the evening. Raffle prizes included a Drew Brees framed and autographed jersey, a Brees autographed football, a stay at the Omni Royal Orleans, a television and Brother Martin gift packages. The lucky 50/50 winner took home a hefty amount of cash, then, graciously donated a portion back to Brother Martin.
