Ben Wisniewski, a member of the Class of 2017, was recently the recipient of Chevron’s High School Scholar Athlete of the Week award which recognizes a male and female high school senior from the GNO area. Ben was presented with this award at the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club luncheon at The Cannery on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
Brother Martin Athletic Director Scott Williams ‘90 stated that “Ben embodies our mission to grow our students through holistic education. His passion for Brother Martin through all his endeavors makes him a worthy recipient of this honor.” Later in the year, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, Ben will also be recognized on the football field at 2016 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Then, an invitation will be extended to him to attend a Pelicans basketball game where all weekly recipients will be entered in a drawing to receive a $5,000 scholarship.
Ben is currently the student council president and is involved in baseball and wrestling at Brother Martin.
