After a victory last week against Holy Cross, the Crusader beach volleyball team fell 2-1 to Rummel in their match Wednesday at White Sands Beach Volleyball Courts.
Heading into the match, Brother Martin was riding a three-match win streak, but the Raiders battled to snap the Crusader’s win streak.
Rummel jumped out to an early lead defeating freshman Cody Frugé and sophomore Ethan Evans 28-14. The Crusader sophomore duo Nolan Bourgeois and Gabe Costa dropped the second match, 28-19 sealing the team victory for the Raiders. In the final match of the day, junior Vincent Giovingo and sophomore Nathan Levandoske earned a victory for the Crusaders defeating their opponents 28-8 to remain undefeated on the season. Giovingo and Levandoske are 3-0 in games and haven’t surrendered more than 10 points in any match.
The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday to face Jesuit in the final match of the regular season.
