Thursday night at Coconut Beach, members of the Beach Volleyball Club defeated Jesuit in a dual tournament consisting of 3 doubles matches by a score of 2-1. In the first match, juniors Brandt Bianchini and Mason Drouant defeated their opponents in two games by scores of 21-18 and 21-16. In the second match, teammates Victor Earl and Jorge Rodriguez battled a tough match but came up short in the end. The third match also favored the Crusaders as teammates Bryant Boudreaux and Austin Gauthreaux swept their opponents defeating them in two games by scores of 21-8 and 21-6.
Bryant Boudreaux and Austin Gauthreaux were also challenged to a doubles match by members of the Mount Carmel volleyball team, perhaps seeking revenge from the Slam N Jam tournament. The MCA team finished second in the Slam N Jam Tournament to the Brother Martin team in which Boudreaux and Gauthreaux were members. Boudreaux/Gauthreaux accepted the challenge and defeated the girls in two games by scores of 21-17 and 21-14.
