Our Crusaders wrapped up their regular season on the court on Friday, February 16 with a victory over Archbishop Rummel 67-46. Brother Martin ended the game with a total of 28 rebounds, three on offense and 25 on defense, two blocks and six steals.
The victory over Rummel was a great way to wrap up the regular season for our Crusaders, but their hard work does not stop there. The team has begun preparing for playoffs that start on February 27.
Coach Chris Biehl commented, “It worked out well that we have an eleven-day break between games. Most of the boys have been playing banged up, so the extra time off allows us to get some rest. We began resting the team last week, and we seemed to play with more energy against Rummel. The team and I are excited to start the postseason, but we realize that we are matched up against a formidable opponent in Byrd. We will be prepared, and we look to represent our school well.”
Cheer on our Crusaders as they take on Byrd on Tuesday, February 27 in Shreveport.
