The Crusader baseball season came to an end Saturday night at the hands of the Holy Cross Tigers. In the decisive game three in a best of three series, the Crusaders (19-15-1) fell by a score of 5 – 3. The Tigers and Crusaders battled all weekend as Holy Cross won Game 1 Friday night by a score of 7-3. Brother Martin responded to the loss in a big way Saturday by pounding out 14 hits and defeating Holy Cross by a score of 10-0 in Game 2. Brennan Stuprich (17) and Tré Morgan (12) each went 3-4 while Zach Repath (2), Joel Bergeron (8), and André Roevens (11) all went 2-3. In the decisive Game 3, hits were much harder to come by for the Crusaders. Joel Bergeron (8), Zach Repath (2), and Brendan Brown (7) led the offensive attack as they went 3-4, 1-2, and 1-3, respectively. Repath also added two RBIs in the fourth inning when he hit a two out single.
Congratulations to the Crusaders on their season and good luck next year!
