Brother Martin High School welcomed back more than 1,150 Crusaders to its campus on Monday, the first day of the academic year.
Students gathered early in the Benson Mall, some recounting their summer experiences with faculty and staff members, while others were catching up with friends. Some were even already busy scheduling extracurricular events or chatting with coaches and administrators. About 150 faculty and staff members helped to guide students to their right classroom locations, as some of the campus continues to be under construction with the excitement of Phase III of the Master Plan underway.
Eighth graders had their first Class Level meeting, where they received additional pointers on getting around campus, expectations regarding uniform, attendance, and behavior, as well as encouragement to get involved.
And as expected, the Seniors were feeling very confident about their school year and all that it has to offer. School Principal Ryan Gallagher said he expects exceptional leadership from the Class of 2018.
“Our seniors are a great example to all of our students, and I know they will bring servant leadership as they minister to the underclassmen,” said Gallagher.
We are all looking forward to another great school year at Brother Martin High School!
