Austin Meyn and Coach Casadaban Featured in The Advocate

dt.common.streams.StreamServer (3)This week, with the LHSAA State Wrestling Tournament on everyone’s mind, The New Orleans Advocate released a feature story on the Brother Martin wrestling program and its “hands on” coaching style.  Assistant Coach James Casadaban ’06, who is a former two-time state wrestling champion at Brother Martin and two-time NAIA All-American at Cumberland University, often changes out of his classroom attire of a shirt and tie and hops on the mat to challenge wrestlers like Meyn who has become so good that younger teammates offer no threat.  Most times the coach will get the better of the less experienced student, but every so often the student will make a move naming him “King of the Mat”, until the next round.
