Beautiful weather graced the 2019 Crusader Cook-off & Homebrew Competition on Sunday, September 22nd as alumni, family, and friends enjoyed delicious food and drinks in the Backyard and the Terrace. Patrons were treated to 15 dishes and 9 homebrews prepared by competitors. The Crusader Cooking team prepared and served hamburgers, hot dogs, and other delicious selections. Laine Buquoi and Melissa Gallagher coordinated desserts and Mario Bogran ’82, Mardi Gras Snowballs NOLA, provided snoballs. The Class of 2001 sponsored and served in the Drink Tent and an army of volunteers ensured a successful event for all of our guests. Eddie Gonzales ’77 emceed the event and Team Serious About Cooking served as a DJ that featured guest judges, kids’ games, a Parade of Prizes, and a 50/50 raffle.
